I voted!

For the first time ever, I voted. And I have to say, I haven't been this excited about something in a long time. Seeing all of my neighbors in line at the polls and showing a genuine enthusiasm reminded me how lucky we are to live in a country where we have the rights and freedoms that we, and I'm as guilty as the rest, take for granted most of the time.

Well, I'm proud to say that I voted for Senator Barack Obama as of 7:45 a.m. this morning. Obama/Biden 2008!

Hi Eric - First off, thanks for reading my blog. I'm glad you like it:)

To address your question about what I expect from Obama, it's simple really. I expect him to put my country back on the right course. It almost sounds cliche at this point, but I sincerely believe in his ability to bring change to America, and I think we all need a healthy dose of it. I've always been proud of where I'm from, but I'm ready for the rest of the world to be reminded what an amazing country the U.S.A. is. I don't mean that in the sense that everyone is going to think that the U.S. is the best country in the world, but in the sense that other countries will once again have respect for the U.S. and not label all Americans as blithering idiots, which is an unfair reputation to begin with.
